BTSD GENERAL SCHEDULE
Buddhist Study Classes
(join at any time):
- Chanting Class. Rev. Mukojima has
begun leading a Sutra Chanting Class
every third Sunday preceding the
Family Service. Those interested should
meet in the Hondo promptly at 9:00 a.
m.
There is no age restriction, and all who would
like to im-prove their chanting technique or
take advantage of the meditative aspects of
chanting are welcome. Sensei will cover
several different sutras throughout the year.
Buddhist Study Class A, with Rev.
Mukojima. The class now meets monthly on
the first Thursday evening of the month at 6:30
p.m. in the Conference Room. This free class is
currently continuing its study of the Tannisho.
Low cost used copies of the Tannisho are
available for purchase, and we can also
supply a link to an online edition that is free.
Interested students of the Dharma may join at
any time; do not worry that you would not be
starting at the beginning of the book.
Buddhist Study Class B, with Rev.
Jim Yanagihara, Retired, continues to meet
monthly on the third Friday morning at 9:30 a.
m. in the Conference Room. This free class is
also open to all interested students of the
Dharma and is currently reading and
discussing Shin Buddhism by Taitetsu Unno.
