Shinran Shonin Memorial Service 報恩講
with a memorial service that is called by its Japanese
name of Ho-Onko.
Literally, the Chinese characters ho-on mean "return of
gratitude" and ko means "to clarify the meaning of" or
"gathering" of those who wish to return this gratitude.
At Ho-Onko, we can trace the footsteps of Shinran with
deep appreciation in our hearts and resolve to
dedicate ourselves in the service of others to truly make
our world more friendly and happier for all mankind.
Our temple will celebrate Ho-Onko on Sunday,
January 15, 2006, at 10 a.m.
