DEAR TEMPLE MEMBERS AND DHARMA FRIENDS:
The Buddhist Temple of San Diego’s JAPANESE CULTURAL BAZAAR will take place on SUNDAY, JUNE 6
from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Net proceeds from the temple’s most important annual fundraiser, will help fund BTSD’s daily
operations and its various programs. The theme “Kimono” has been chosen as the focal attraction for this year’s event.
Please find enclosed drawing tickets that we are kindly asking you to help sell. The Grand Prize is $1,000. In addition,
prizes will be given away during the hourly and main drawings. We are again offering tickets at a suggested donation of
$5 each or 6 tickets for $25.
We ask you to sell or purchase the enclosed assigned tickets. Please return the money, ticket stubs, and all unsold
tickets to us no later than June 6. Please call the temple office if you wish to purchase or sell more tickets.
We also ask you to do what you can to help promote the Bazaar. Ask the businesses you frequent to donate a raffle
prize and post our flier (Solicitation letters are available in the office for this purpose). Pick up some postcards to
distribute to your colleagues and friends.
We are also aware this mailing may inadvertently be sent to retired members who have requested the Temple no longer
send tickets. If you are in this category, please accept our apologies.
Call the office if that is the case or return the tickets with a note so we can correct our records.
