Chanting Class
Rev. Mukojima, Resident Minister
Every third Sunday of the month
at 9:00 a.m. at Hondo
There is no age restriction, and all who would
like to im-prove their chanting technique or
take advantage of the meditative aspects of
chanting are welcome. Sensei will cover
several different sutras throughout the year.

Buddhist Study Class A

First Thursday evening of the month
at 6:30 p.m. at Conference Room.

This free class is currently continuing its study
of the Tannisho. Low cost used copies of the
Tannisho are available for purchase, and we
can also supply a link to an online edition that
is free. Interested students of the Dharma may
join at any time; do not worry that you would
not be starting at the beginning of the book.

Our ministers and lay leaders also participate in local religious and educational events to further
understanding of Buddhism in the greater community. In addition, the Buddhist Education
Committee (BEC) sponsors lectures on Jodo Shinshu, offers regular services at the Marine Corps
Recruiting Depot, and conducts the Fourth Sunday Program, an hour-long informal introduction
to Buddhism, Shin Buddhism and our temple history. The class is free and open to the public every
fourth Sunday of every month except May and December.
