Welcome to 2006!
Well, 2005 has come to a close. Did you have a good year? If I think about
this year, I can remembers some great things that happened. Reverend and
Mrs. Mukojima came to San Diego to share the Buddha Dharma and their
friendship with us. Who else can play ball with Breven, Trevor, Davis and
Sean for so long except them?
Many new students came to join us at Dharma School this year. Emma, Evan,
Kyle, Lea, Ami, Jared, Joene, Gabriel, Anthony, Chad, and Jenna are the new
faces that help brighten the Temple every Sunday.
With all the joy, there were some sad and hard times as well. If I think of
these events as only bad things, I may not appreciate how they have made us
grow. in being mindful of the suffering of others, in lending a helping hand,
and in practicing patience and kindness, we enrich our lives, as well as the
lives of others. This happens as we continue to walk the path of harmony,
being aware of all people and beings that make life possible.
Dharma School has many fun events planned for 2006: hip-hop dancing
lessons, camping, crafts, and other fun activities! Please feel free to join us
in these exciting activities!
In Gassho,
Nancy Martinez, Superintendent
Buddhist Temple of San Diego
