HOW TO GET THE TEXT:
Handouts are available but in the meanwhile, a good place to get better
acquainted with this text is via the version posted at the Nishi Hongwanji-Ha,
the Jodo Shinshu Los Angeles Betsuin.

The Shoshinge is Shinran's presentation of the flowering of the spiritual insights
central to our Shin Buddhist tradition. In the Shoshinge, Shinran identifies the
teachers and teachings in the Pure Land Tradition that are central to our sect's
understanding of Amida's vow.

The easy-to-read book, "The Buddha's Wish for the World,"
is available at the Temple (while supplies last) at its retail price,
or from Amazon.com or other online sources.

FOURTH Sunday of each month (excluding MAY, AUGUST & NOVEMBER),

9:00 am in the Sangha Hall (single story building on the southside of the
Temple's parking lot).

For those who are interested, this is a free class that is given to provide
general background information about Buddhism, as well as our Jodo
Shinshu sect (Shin Buddhism). In addition to the background information, a
short Q&A session is held at the end of each class.

You are also more than welcome to sit-in on our Sunday services which are
held after the class at 10 am.

Please note that although we encourage you to
attend all of the classes we provide, if you are not
too familiar with Buddhism or our Jodo Shinshu sect,
we highly encourage you to attend the
"Introduction to Buddhism" class.
If you would like to continue your interest
in Buddhism, you are more than welcome
to attend "Buddhist Study Class A,"
"Buddhist Study Class B," or both!
To get a better understanding of how our
practices work, please feel free to attend
any of of Sunday Services (please check
the
Sunday Service Schedule).
