As a religious institution, we do recognize that students will be coming from various colleges to visit our temple for class assignments.
With that said, you are more than welcome to come to
ANY of the Sunday Services we have throughout the year. Most of the
services are regular family services, but sometimes (about once a month) we conduct special services to observe the different
Buddhist Holidays. You are welcome to attend those as well. There will also be some Sundays where we will not have service (due
to a fundraising event).

Please check the service schedule by clicking on the
"Sunday Service Schedule," which can be found on the index (main) page, to
plan when you would like to attend. There is a service schedule up for
December.
Thank you for your interest in our temple!
Service starts at...
  • All of our services (regular & special) begin at 10 a.m., and usually lasts for about 1 hr. 30 mins. From 10 - 10:45/11 a.m.
is the  Dharma School (Sunday School) portion, and from 10:45/11 - 11:30 a.m. is the adult portion of the service.

Service attire...
  • For regular family services, nice-casual wear is acceptable. As you will see, attire within our Sangha (congregation) ranges
    from casual to dressy casual.
  • For special services, dressy-casual is acceptable.

During service...
  • To be respectful of our Sangha (congregation) members attending the service, we ask that you please keep your cell
phone on silent, or turn it off.
  • If you must speak to a fellow classmate (or need to ask a question), please keep your voice down to a whisper.
  • You may take photos during service, but please keep your flash off, and try not to disturb the people around you.

After service...
  • After the adult portion of the service, we usually have someone availbale to answer any questions you may have about
the service, or about Buddhism in general.
On the FOURTH SUNDAY of each month (excluding December), the Buddhist Education Committee holds a class that
provides general information on Buddhism, and the Jodo Shinshu Sect of Buddhism, for those who are interested.
There is also a Q & A session toward the end of the class if you have any additional questions, or feel as if something
was left unanswered.
This class begins at
9 a.m., and takes place in the SANGHA HALL (single story building) on the southside of the
Temple's parking lot.

If possible, please let us know in advance if you will be attending this "Fourth Sunday Program" so that we can inform
whoever is teaching the class. Thank you!
